Hi, well I’m Helen. And yes, I love elephants.

I’ve wanted to have a blog for a while, just because there is so much I want to tell people and so much I want to save other people from. I’m currently reading Quantum healing by Deepak Chopra and it’s made me even more aware that how I feel, think and most importantly react can effect my health, well being and my experiences. I’m working on bettering myself and I’d just love it if what I discover could help someone else.

I am a universe lover. I love the moon, the snow, the wind in my hair. I love colours, sunshine, the sound of heavy rain. I love myself. I love who I am and I admire who I am becoming. I love how in tune to the universe I am. I love how I’ve only just started. I am as much a part of the universe as the universe is a part of me. We are a whole world. We are the moon, the sun, the snow, the wind. We are colours, sunshine, adventure, the sound of heavy rain.

What makes up a person is experience – sorrows, joys, fleeting seconds of trauma, long hours of nothing special at all. The minutes of life silently accumulate, and like grains of sand deposited by a river, these minutes create who we are. They can crop above the surface as a disease, or as health. You can never ‘pause’ life and stop the grains from falling and no matter how terrible the situation those grains come from, you always have a choice within. A hard choice. One that sometimes you have to fight more than you ever have to win. But we can choose how we react and therefore we can choose where they build up on us. Even if that reaction is 10 years later, you can come out stronger.

I am a messy hair nature loving spontaneous moving human. I believe in practicing mindfulness, self-love and self-care, having a good bodymind balance and I love to be creative. I’m trying to make sure that my minutes of life create grains of sand that add to who I am in a positive way.

Those are, currently, my four categories. I’ve tried to make it a little easier to navigate but they’re all so similar it’s a little difficult trying to get differences. They’re all connected.

Basically, here’s what you can find in each category:

  • MindfulnessLiving in the present. Believing in your own mindpower. I’ll be sharing how I’m changing my perception, how I make sure I continue to better my awareness of myself. Quantum healing info and thoughts. Trying to achieve a higher vibration. Quotes I like for that healthy mind. How to know yourself and listen to your inner self. Self-wisdom.
  • Self-care & self-love – Remaining in control and calm, looking after youself. I’ll be sharing holistic beauty secrets, facemasks, hairmasks… It’s the section where you create time just for you. Where I’ll share my favourite calming music, some good self-massage techniques.
  • BodymindCreating a healthy mind body balance, through a healthy lifestyle and a positive outlook. Where I’ll share some yoga flows, smoothies, workouts, recipies… Essential oil stuff, how I work with my chakras.
  • CreativityHere’s where I get creative, obviously. Where you’ll find art, stories, upcycling, DIY projects, photography, dance. Where I share my work, or work of others that I love.

I hope you enjoy my musings, I enjoy sharing them. πŸ’

Thanks for visiting! 🌞

  1. Hello Helen, happy you found me, so I could find you. “I love who I am and I admire who I am becoming. I love how in tune to the universe I am. I love how I’ve only just started.” This is such great stuff!

Lovely to experience the words of a fellow self love / mindfulness writer.

And you share your art! That might be my next step.

    Inspiring.

      1. Good luck to you! The more you write about it, the more you know. My blog started purely as weight loss and now it has grown into total health. You are on the right track.
